What are the deadlines if I want my Race Packet (bib and chip) mailed to me?

You must register prior to May 1st in order to have your runner packet mailed to you (additional fees apply). Participants who register after May 1st must pick-up their race packet at the ING Greater Body Expo. There is no packet pick-up available the day of the race.

When will my Race Packet (bib and chip) be mailed to me?

We begin mailing packets on April 21st.

What is the deadline to register for a Seeded position?

Seeded and Sub-seeded registrations MUST BE postmarked by May 9. All Seeded and Sub-seeded registrations MUST BE submitted with written proof of qualifying time. CLICK HERE for more information.

How do I register for the Pledge Runner division?

When is the last day to register via US MAIL?

Seeded Divisions: All forms must be postmarked by May 9.

Other Divisions: All forms must be in our office no later than Monday, May 12.

When is the last day to register online?

Registration closes at midnight on Wednesday, May 14th .

Can I register on the weekend of the Race?

YES - on Friday, May 16 and Saturday May 17, at the ING Greater Body Expo .

There is no registration or packet pick-up on Race Day.

I lost my Race Packet (bib and chip), how do I get a replacement?

Replacement packets are available at the Solutions Desk at ING Greater Body Expo for a fee of $10.00. We do not issue duplicate Timing Chips Runner Bibs via US Mail. There is no packet pick-up or Solutions Desk available on Race Day.

What is the refund policy?

Registration fees, MUNI sticker sales and Beneficiary donations are non-refundable and non-transferable. All events are rain or shine.

Can I pick up a friend's Race Packet (bib and chip) at the ING Greater Body Expo?

Yes, you may pick up a friend's bib at the ING Greater Body Expo. All you will need to provide is their first and last name.

Is my Registration fee for the race tax-deductible?

No. Registration fees are not tax-deductible. However, if you make a donation to one of our beneficiaries at the time of registration then your donation is tax-deductible.

Is there a host hotel?

The Official Hotel of ING Bay to Breakers is the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero. Located just two blocks from the Start Line, it is the perfect place to stay.

What is the best way to get to the Start Line on Race Morning?

Public transportation is strongly recommended, whether you are coming from points within San Francisco or from the surrounding Bay Area. For more comprehensive transportation options please visit our Transportation Page.

Is parking available?

No official parking is provided. There are many lots within walking distance of the Start Line, including the lots at the Embarcadero Center. Parking options near the Finish Line and ING Footstock are extremely limited.

Is there shuttle service?

MUNI Shuttle Service

Shuttle service from ING Footstock back to the Start Line is provided by MUNI. For more information on the MUNI shuttle service fees and provisions please visit our Transportation Page.

Bauer's Intelligent Transportation Shuttle Service

Bauer's Intelligent Transportation is now offering ground transportation services from 34th Avenue and Fulton Street to Fort Mason, North Beach, AT&T Ball Park, Castro, Mission District, and BART 16th Street Station. Custom destination transfers can also be arranged by contacting Bauer’s Transportation directly. Tickets can be purchased at EXPO, at www.bauersit.com and at Footstock near the North Tunnel. Are baby joggers and strollers allowed on the course?

For safety reasons baby joggers and strollers are only allowed at the back of the runners pack along Steuart Street.

Is alcohol permitted on the course?

No.

Are pets permitted on the course?

No. Pets are not allowed on the course for their own safety and the safety of our participants.

Are bicycles, skateboards or rollerblades allowed on the course?

No. For safety reasons bicycles, skateboards and rollerblades are not permitted.

Where do I get my race t-shirt?

Participant T-shirts can be picked up before the Race at the ING Greater Body Expo or after the Race at ING Footstock. You must have your Runner Bib with you in order to receive your shirt.

Where do I pick up my Technical Tee upgrade?

Tech Tee upgrades will be available at both the Expo and ING Footstock T-shirt pick-up locations. Your T-shirt upgrade will be indicated on your runner bib. You must have your bib with you in order to get your shirt.

 

Can my T-shirt be mailed to me?

Yes, but only AFTER the Race. The deadline to request to have your shirt mailed to you was June 6, 2008

Where can I find my results after the race?

How do I get a copy of Examiner souvenir edition, with a listing of the top 10,000 finishers?

The Examiner Souvenir Edition will be available at newsstands on the Monday following the race. To order a copy please send a check for $5.00 payable to The Examiner, along with your name and address, to ING Bay to Breakers Souvenir Edition, 450 Mission Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. Availability is limited. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery.

How do I get my photo?

Photographers from Sport Photo will be in several locations along the course:

In order to be identified and receive your photo proof in the mail your runner bib must be worn high on your chest. If Sport Photo took a picture of you during the race and your runner number was clearly visible you will receive a proof via email with NO OBLIGATION.
